Paint Correction is the process in which our highly trained and certified technicians work on your vehicle’s paint surface to restore it to the brand new condition your vehicle once was. Paint correction has several different levels from 1-step to concourse correction.
When you look at your car in the sun, it looks like there are spider webs all over it. These scratches and swirls can occur from normal wiping, going through the car detailing, or using a snowbrush in the wintertime. It leaves very fine scratches in the clear coat. Depending on how deep scratches and swirls are, certain ones might not be able to come out by just polishing. You may have to sand and then polish.
You could also get water spotting from acid rain, hard water spots, salt in the wintertime, sap, or bird droppings. Just by washing the car or clay barring it won’t remove those spots, which is why polishing and paint correction are necessary. Polishing permanently removes swirls and scratches and spotting instead of hiding them with a glaze wax. This can fill the scratches, but it’s temporary. It looks good for a few weeks until you wash the car a couple of times, and then those fillers will deteriorate and then all your swirls come back.
Over time dirt particles and iron filings will become imbedded in the paints clear coat and can not be removed by washing. Clay bar is a piece of clay designed to be hard enough to remove these contaminants, yet soft enough not to scratch the car. Once these particles are removed, we then apply a ceramic coating to protect the smooth finish.
